Here is the info about status C planned for the Fall 2026

WRITTEN STATUS C

The Flexiquiz
Make sure to log in using your Username, and Password.
Once you have successfully logged into Flexiquiz, you will have access to Written status C.

Date, time and deadline
From August 5, 2026 – September 1, 2026, the Written Status C will be available on Flexiquiz.
You have four consecutive hours to answer all the questions in Written Status C.
After 4 hours, the Status will be closed.
Find a full 4-hour time slot where you can fully dedicate your time to Written Status C. You can not re-open the status after you have started to do the

Be aware that after September 1, 2026, you will no longer have access to Written Status C. Therefore, ensure that you have completed the Written Status C BEFORE the deadline.

Preparation for the Written Status C
Written Status C consists of questions related to Effects and Basic CVT knowledge both technical and pedagogical.
Answer the questions primarily at the Foundation level and imagine them being asked by singers.
Please refrain from using any notes, the CVT app, or the book.

Prepare by reading these chapters in the CVT App

  • ‘How to practice’ (p. 08)
  • ‘Pitch (Registers)’ (p. 042 – 043)
  • ‘Fine-Tuning & Tone-deafness’ (p. 048 – 051)
  • ‘Classical singing’ (P.173 – 174)
  • ‘Microphone technique in Sound colours’ (p. 216 – 219)
  • Effects: introduction to Effects and General principles (p. 220), Distortion (p. 222 – 227), Creak and Creaking (p. 228 – 233) and Vibrato (p. 262 – 264 and 266 -268)

Prepare by reading the newest workshop manuscript and manual:

  • 1st Teacher,
  • 2nd Teacher,
  • 3rd Teacher,
  • 4th Teacher,
  • 5th Teacher
  • No. 46

Prepare also by reading your notes on:

  • How to practice and 21 steps
  • Learning types
  • Health during a session

 

SINGING STATUS C

Record your examples for the Singing Status C
For this singing status, you will record the singing examples and email them to Christina at Christina@shout.dk.
You can send them via Sprend or share via Dropbox or compress the files into a zip file and email them directly to Christina.
Deadline: 1st of September 2026

Record additional Follow-up from singing status B (phrases and sound colour)
Follow up from last singing status B. Each of you went through what to work on in your individual evaluation with Ulrik. If you are in doubt, send Christina an email before the 26th of June.

 

Record a Classical Phrase:

  • Women – Sing a typically classical musical phrase that contains both non-metal and metal. (meaning a phrase that goes both higher and lower)
  • Men – Sing a typically classical musical phrase in a metallic mode.

 

Record Density phrases – to demonstrate the difference:

  • Sing a good Neutral musical phrase in FD/RD Neutral (think as full as possible) and then in the same pitch in Falsetto in Neutral
  • Sing a good Overdrive musical phrase in FD Overdrive and then in same pitch in in RD Overdrive
  • Sing a good Edge musical phrase in FD Edge and then in the same pitch in RD Edge

 

Record Effects phrases – use musically phrases like you would perform the effect with (don’t use the same phrase):

  • Distortion in a musical phrase
  • Creak in a musical phrase
  • Creaking in a musical phrase
  • Vibrato: Laryngeal and hammer (pulse for status D) in a musical phrase

 

Feedback on both the Singing status C and the Written Status C
You will get feedback on both as soon as we have reviewed them.
This feedback will take place, in writing to your inbox, during this Fall of 2026, and potentially flirting with Winter 2025 as well.

 

AA STATUS C ONLINE

AA status C – Main modes and Main Sound Colours
Each sound examples will contain one or two main mode(s).  And write in foundation level.
Divide the sound colour into 5: Darkest – Darker – Mid – Lighter – Lightest
You can access the AA status C here at cvi.my and the page will have both sound examples and a PDF for you to download.
The link will be open:

  • From Friday August 7th, 2026 at 10.00
  • Until Tuesday September 1st, 2026 at 18.00

After finishing the AA status C and filling in your answers digital  (word or Pdf) or scan it or take a photo and send it to Christina at christina@shout.dk
Deadline: 1st of September 2026

 

AA Status C HOW-TO  (the link opens August 7th, 2026 at 10.00)

  1. Click on the link at cvi.my (AA status C)
  2. Print out the pdf fil AA status C (1 page).
  3. Listen to the audio samples one by one.
  4. Write down one or two main main Mode(s), add extra modes if needed, but make it clear, which is the main mode and write the overall Sound Colour (Darkest – Darker – Mid – Lighter – Lightest) for each sound example.
  5. Scan the page/take a photo/pdf and send it in an email to: christina@shout.dk
  6.  Bring the original to the 14th seminar, where we will have the Go through AA status C.

Tip: Take a picture of your handwritten answers and send it. Make sure the answers are readable and not too blurry.
