CVI have decided that we will always conduct one Online update and one IRL (in real life) in Copenhagen. The authorised teachers can then choose which one suits them best.

We will normally conduct the ONLINE update in February each year and IRL in September each year.

The price is the same whether the update is conducted IRL or Online, as CVI uses the same facilities and administration on both updates.

Update courses are offered 1-2 times per year: They contain a theoretical update of the technique, research and own questions as a practical update in pedagogic, singing, teaching, cases and own questions. Cathrine and other CVI Teachers will teach at the update seminar.

At the IRL update seminars we usually arrange a Reunion Dinner & Drinks Saturday evening. This cozy event is a great opportunity to catch up with old study-buddies and meet other CVT teachers for discussions and a good time!

Please note, if you only want to attend the reunion dinner and you are not attending the Update the price for the dinner is 45€ which covers the food only, the drinks are on the house.

NEW – 1 Day Density, Falsetto & Metal

The Course is offered exclusively for the Authorised CVT Teachers and is made for those who wish to work more with Density, Falsetto & Metal.

We have added an extra day after each update (placed on the monday after the update), for those who wish to work more in depths with Density, Falsetto & Metal singing and teaching. You can sign up for that specific day separately on this site, if you wish to add an extra day. The course fee for 1 Day Density is DKK 1.500 / € 200:

This day runs from 10.00 – 17.00 and topic will be working with density in SWDA, AA, Pedagogical Cases & Questions.

We will overall be working practically with density, falsetto and metal, and how to use the different degrees of all of the above mentioned in your own singing with DA,
as well as getting tools on how to teach singers, who wish to work more advanced in all the modes. Also bringing in TEO as an inspiration.

We will hear different AA examples, analyze and learn to recognize the varieties of different sounds, that can be produced in both full and reduced density.

Please note that the 1 Day Density, Falsetto & Metal day is only for people attending the update or for the people recently updated.

Authorisation Update

Your Authorisation as a CVT Teacher should be updated every 3 years by attending one update seminar of 3 days either online or IRL in CPH. This ensures that your authorization is updated and current. If you attend an update before the expiration of the 3 years, your authorization will be updated for 3 years from the date of the update seminar.

We offer update online in February and IRL (in CPH) in September every year.

Addition to the update course

If your Authorisation is outdated, meaning you have not updated within 3 years, we offer an additional half-day (2-3 hours) of teaching as an addition to the update course. During these hours a CVI Teacher will help you reach a level so that you will be able to understand the update course. You can either choose to come a day before or have an online session. Expect some preparation and reading before the session. Please, let us know in advance so we can arrange this.

The price for an optional additional session prior to the update costs DKK 2000,- / Euro 270,-
