For the first time, CVI offers single seminars on “Songwriting”. This course is for singers who are currently enrolled at CVI or have completed a CVI course. A “Songwriting’ Seminar consist primarily of a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, offering each participant time to study songwriting in more depth. Expressing yourself through words and music. Tips on how to work with writing own original material; lyric writing, combine melodies, harmonies and rhythm, song structure and form, working alone to co-writing etc.

Musical and artistic approach to singing

Working on songwriting, expression and performance is a central part of the course. During classes, the singer will have the opportunity to work with personal expression, in relation to his or her own songs.  We also have arranged during the weekend a songwriter concert with a pianist available as well as open mic gathering Friday evening.

Dates

The course will be taught over 3 days. The seminar will run Friday- Sunday. CVI will plan this course once a year.

Time

10-17 hrs. Friday to Sunday.

Course fee

In Denmark DKK 6332 / € 850.
If you choose to withdraw from the course 14 days before the course takes place 25 % of the full course fee is not refundable. Please read our standard terms.

Number of participants

8- 10 in each group.

Pianist

A pianist will be present for accompaniment during certain parts of the course.

Teachers

The teachers are all CVI teachers and they will teach their specialist subject. Only highly qualified and experienced teachers of the highest professional standard will teach on the course.

Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen.

The course is offered to singers who are currently enrolled at CVI or have previously completed a CVI course.

Deadline for application; The courses are filled up on a first come, first serve basis.

 

You do not need to play an instrument to join the course. However, is it useful if you play a basic instrument or use your voice with available music software (ex. Garageband etc.)But not a Must.
