TEACHING EACH OTHER (TEO):
The main focus will be on detecting the Learning type and Scanning and decoding.
Everybody is participating as singers and as teachers in this class. One from the group is singing and another from the group is teaching. The rest of the class will observe and a CVI teacher will supervise and give a small feedback after the session. Bring part of a song or phrases you will like to work on. There will be no pianist available.
INTERPRETATION:
Read about Interpretation in the CVT-App in ‘Additional techniques’ (p.294 – 298). Everybody find a song that could be interesting in working theoretically with interpretation. Each of you will work theoretically with your song. Some of you will be active singing the song so everybody has to prepare part of the chosen song, so you know it by heart.
AA (Auditive Analysis):
Prepare a clear opposite gender recorded examples of main mode in each mode.
TEACHING OPPOSITE GENDER:
The main focus will be how to teach opposite gender. What are the common issues and what are the typically solutions. There will be a bit teaching each other.
HANDOUT FILES ON CVI.MY:
• Scanning-Decoding
• Teaching other gender
🙂 ATTENTION FOR 6TH SEMINAR – briefing on the Recorded Test singers session:
Before the 6th seminar you will have to record a session with one of your singers. Bring the recording to the 6th seminar and get some feedback on your teaching. Bring a video recorded teaching session with one your own singers.
The length should only be 12 minutes. If your session is longer than 12 min, except us to stop it after 12 min.
The language must be English.
Together, in the class we look through each session and all will get feedback following the session.
Please make the recording so it shows both you and the singer and what happens in the session. For instance: if support is explained and tried out, we should be able to see it in the video.
When recording through Zoom, have the Gallery view on, so it shows both you and the singer.
Record the session in advanced so you have time to redo the recording you are not happy with it.
SUMUP FOR THE RECORDING
- The language must be English
- The length must only be about 12 minutes.
