Dear Singers, this is the preparation for your 3rd seminar

TEACHING NEUTRAL:
Read about Neutral in the CVT App (p.056-061). Also read the CVT workshop manuscript no. 17, 21, 22, 23 + 58. Prepare a phrase for Neutral.

TEACHING CURBING:
Read about Curbing in the CVT App (p.062-070). Also read the CVT workshop manuscript no. 17, 20, 22 + 58. Prepare a phrase for Curbing.

SINGING W. DIGITAL ACCOMPANIMENT (SWDA) – open brain learning types:
Bring a song or phrases you would like to work on and bring your own backing track.
Open brain means: The CVI teacher will have an ‘open brain’ and share the thoughts behind the technically and pedagogically tools used in the session. Here the focus will be on Learning types.

TEACHING EACH OTHER (TEO) – learning types:
Teaching each other with the focus on ‘learning types’ in the group with supervision by a CVI teacher. You will learn about learning types before the teaching each other. All are participating as singers and as teachers.
It goes like this: One from the group is singing and another from the group is teaching. The rest of the class will observe and a CVI teacher will supervise. Bring part of a song or phrases you will like to work on. Please don’t choose too advantaged stuff or effects to work on for now, since you are still in the beginning of the 3y. There will be no pianist. Use backing tracks for the songs you sing or sing acapella.

LEARNING TYPES – a pedagogically subject:
Just bring pen&paper, computer, tablet, etc to make notes 🙂

AA (Auditive Analysis):
Prepare a phrase in each mode. Meaning: One phrase for Neutral, another one for Curbing, another one for Overdrive and another one for Edge. Aim for keeping the phrase in one mode only. The idea is to be able to present each mode with a phrase for instance in a workshop. It might be that there isn’t time for all the phrases at this seminar. Then we just catch up the rest later.

SHOW YOUR LARYNX: Build (find your way of building it) and draw a larynx and show it to the group

COPYRIGHT: Information about copyright and CVT.Read the handout ‘Being a CVT-Teacher’ (before seminar 3)

EVALUATION (INDIVIDUAL):
There will be individual evaluations with your ‘contact person’, Ulrik, at the same time as SWDA or TEO or online around the seminar. It is a small talk to get to know more about your singing and teaching back ground and experiences. Ulrik (Christina@shout.dk) will send you an email with time and dates.
