Dear Singers, this is the preparation for your 7th seminar

GO THROUGH WRITTEN STATUS A: You will get your Written Status A back with feedback. We will go through some general things from the written status.

AA RECORDED:  Bring recorded examples with different sound colours.

DEFINED ASSIGNMENT SONG: You got a song from the CVI teachers. The idea is to work on the things from the singing status A and try to work on another style than you are used to. The song can be challenging style-wise and/or technically. The songs are on the CVI.my.

RHYTHM:  Read about CVT and Rhythm in the CVT App; Find Additional techniques->Improvisation and phrasing-> Method for beginning improvisation->Rhythmic exercises (p. 292).
Bring a rhythmical difficult part of a song or phrase or a rhythmical ‘boring’ part of a song and we will use some of them to work with rhythm.

COMMUNICATION MODEL and FOREIGN VOWELS – a pedagogically subject:
Read your notes on ’21 steps’ and ‘Scanning and Decoding’. Read about ‘Pronunciation’ in the CVT book or App (p. 030 – 034).

CVT & KIDS: Get tips and tricks to work with CVT and kids. This is also a great opportunity for you to share experience about working with kids. Read about children’s voice (p. 046)

TEO (Teaching each other) – focusing on interpretation: Prepare a song to work on interpretation. Check your notes on Interpretation from the 5th seminar and the CVT App about Interpretation:  Find Additional techniques-> Interpretation and Performance (p. 294– 298)

PRESENTATION 1 – 16:
Read presentation no. 1 – 16 in the CVT workshop manuscript (check for the newest version) and prepare to be able to present the presentations from 1 – 16. You will pick your presentation from a ‘hat’ in the session and present it and get a following feedback. You will present at least one. Remember this is just a ‘warm up’ for the workshops starting at the 10th seminar. Though the more well-prepared you are, the easier it will be….
